Kristin Dubrowski, CEO

Our professional staff has years of knowledge, training and experience that are the backbone of Hopeful Horizons. Committed to our core values of compassion, collaboration and a commitment to excellence, our team is highly trained in their specialties and has a national reputation for excellence in delivering evidence-based, victim-centered services.

The Hopeful Horizons team is committed to serving survivors of child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault through treatment, support, education, awareness and prevention.

Hopeful Horizons' CEO Kristin Dubrowski has been working in the victim service field since 1999. Prior to her move to South Carolina in 2004, Ms. Dubrowski was the director of a domestic violence shelter in Denver, CO. She was hired by CODA (Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse) in 2004 and became the executive director in 2007. In January 2017, when CODA and Hope Haven merged into Hopeful Horizons, Ms. Dubrowski became the Chief Operations Officer. She moved into Hopeful Horizons’ CEO position in January 2019.

She has a B.A. in Women's Studies from Cornell College, a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Regis University and she is a South Carolina certified Victim Service Provider. Ms. Dubrowski taught Leadership and Professional Ethics for the University of South Carolina, Beaufort, Human Services program from 2009 until 2012 and she currently serves on the Human Service Program Advisory Council. She is an appointee to the South Carolina Crime Victim Advisory Board and serves as the Chair of the Lowcountry Continuum of Care Governing Council.
