Director of Residential Services

Tonya Doctor is the Director of Residential Services for Hopeful Horizons. Tonya is a Long Island University, NY, graduate with a Master’s in Education. Tonya has over 20 years of working in the human service field. 14 of the years, Tonya worked in the New York City Department of Social Services. She provided direct shelter and client advocacy for the NYC homeless population. Tonya truly enjoys working in the human services. This allows her to be a voice for the less fortunate to demand better equality and more affordable living. In her spare time, Tonya enjoys traveling, being with family, friends and church members. Most importantly, she loves exploring the world and spending quality time with the love of her life, her five-year-old son Zakai Doctor.
