Recently, a volunteer sent an email to one of our coordinators to express their gratitude for the free community trainings we regularly hold. As one of our core values is commitment to excellence, we strive to ensure that we are bringing the most up-to-date information to our volunteers, the community and survivors. Together, we can change lives and end abuse.

When I decided to volunteer at Hopeful Horizons I had no idea how I would be impacted from the first moment of a 25 hour training program. I was introduced to people whom I never expected to encounter. I learned about domestic violence and child abuse and the statistics, but first and foremost, I learned about an extraordinary group of men and women who are willing to go far beyond their job descriptions. Hopeful Horizons is a wondrous place helping to change the lives of hundreds of people who are in desperate need of a listening ear and a helping hand. It is obvious that I am to be the lucky recipient of the kindness and willingness of an inspiring group of people to teach me how to truly care. Thank you for this opportunity.
